Adobe Design Achievement Awards

Quería compartir con vosotros hoy que están abiertas las inscripciones para los Adobe Design Achievement Awards 2012. La participación es gratuita y ¡¡¡hay trece categorías en la competición para ESTUDIANTES!!!

Este concurso reconoce a los mejores estudiantes de instituciones de educación superior de todo el mundo en los campos del diseño gráfico, fotografía, ilustración, animación, cine digital, desarrollo y arte informático que hayan creado proyectos innovadores utilizando el software de Adobe.

Hay tres periodos para inscribir las obras:

El primero finaliza el 27 de enero, el segundo el 27 de abril y el tercero el 22 de junio de 2012. Los semifinalistas de anunciarás en febrero, mayo y julio, respectivamente.

Here it comes: Another fantastic fashion collaboration. This time, in the USA.
Jason Wu's collection for Target goes on sale in the US on the 5th February 2012, and will be available until the 6th March at most Target stores and online.

Jason Wu is a Taiwanese American fashion designer. He studied at the prestigious Parsons (Parsons The New School for Design), where Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford or Donna Karan studied. He has become very popular and his work is recognized worldwide. If you want to tell by yourself, you can see his fantastic collection for 2012 or previous collections in his homepage. 

Target Corporation is the second-largest discount retailer in the USA, just behind Walmart. The pieces of this collection would cost from $19.99 to $59.99 for apparel and from $19.99 to $49.99 for handbags and scarves, and it would be a limited-edition collection.

I want to show you today Judith Leiber's luxury handbags collection.

From animals to shells, cakes and cupcakes, you can find unique masterpieces designed by Judith Leiber.She started her business in 1963, and she has become very famous thanks to her fabulous minaudieres, covered with precious materials, like crystals. For instance, one of her minaudieres was featured in the Sex and the City movie. In 2008 Judith Leiber was rated the most prestigious luxury handbag brand for the second year running by the New York- based Luxury Institute, defined as "the objective and independent global voice of the high net-worth consumer".

As I expected, I loved the exhibition of Yves Saint Laurent in Madrid. It was amazing to see his creations from such a close distance, and be able to appreciate all the details. It was divided in 11 sections and I specially liked the so called "Process of creation", a whole floor full of Yves Saint Laurent's fashion sketches, and "The last dance"/ "Smokings", a big hall with forty stunning pieces, including breathtaking long dresses, and feminine smokings.

It is  not allowed to take pictures, so unfortunately I cannot share with you what I saw. But... I found a video presenting this retrospective, and you can watch it below (in Spanish). I hope you like it!
# The first video is the trailer of documentary "L'amour fou", that talks about the relationship between Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, co-founder of Yves Saint Laurent Couture House and former partner of the fahion designer.

Como esperaba, me encantó la retrospectiva dedicada a Yves Saint Laurent en la fundación Mapfre de Madrid, en colaboración con la Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent. Me quedé impresionada de poder ver tan de cerca  sus creaciones y tener la oportunidad de apreciar los detalles. La exhibición se divide en once secciones, de las cuales me encantaron "El proceso de la creación", situado en la planta -1 y "El último baile/ El esmoquin".
Está prohibido sacar fotografías y vídeos, pero he encontrado un vídeo de la exhibición. En él, podéis ver algunos de los trajes y vestidos expuestos, algunas fotografías, escenas de los vídeos y el testimonio de Pablo Jimenez Burillo, Director General del Instituto de Cultura de la Fundación Mapfre.

I'm going tomorrow to the exhibition dedicated to Yves Saint Laurent in Madrid, I can't wait! If you want to go, it will be open until the 8th January. I will tell you all about it as soon as I get home, and I'm sure it will be worth it!

It's the first retrospective of Yves Saint Laurent in Spain, and it contains 150 haute couture and Prêt-à-porter pieces, illustration sketches and photographs.

I made the below set inspired by Yves Saint Laurent and his amazing style and taste.

Estoy contando las horas para ver la exposición de Yves Saint Laurent en Madrid, a la que voy mañana. En cuanto vuelva, escribiré para contaros, aunque seguro que merece la pena. Es la primera retrospectiva que se hace en España sobre Yves Saint Laurent, fantástico diseñador de moda.Hay una planta con bocetos de cada colección realizados por el diseñador, y contiene piezas de las telas que después se utilizarían para crear los modelos Se exponen 150 vestidos de Alta Costura y Prêt-à-porter, además de fotografías y películas.  Heineken lanza un nuevo spot para estas Navidades, con una imagen joven y desenfadada y un mensaje diferente. Su nuevo eslogan "Sunrise belongs to moderate drinkers" hace un guiño a todas aquellas personas que saben que no hace falta emborracharse hasta perder el control para pasar una gran noche de fiesta e intentan concienciar a aquellos que aún no lo saben.
